Styles & Techniques

WPAP

WPAP stands for Wedha's Pop Art Portrait, a technique techniek based on straigt lins and brith colors.
On the Internet you can find countless examples of WPAP's of rock stars and celebrities. DaFredo takes it to the next level in his works by bringing them to life on a canvas in paint or tape.

DLAP

DLAP stands for DaFredo Line Art Portrait. This technique is based upon Halftone Line Art: drawing parallel lines, varying in thickness to display lighter or darker effects. What makes DLAP unique is the use of a piping bag, turning the lines into ridges, creating a spectacular effect.

Tape Art

Tape Art comes in many forms, and is especially popular in Germany. Different types of tape and canvasses can be used. I prefer to use gaffa tape on wood and next to producing "standard" tape art I'd like to combine it with the other techniques like WPAP amd DLAP.

Various

On my journey of discovering materials to work with I also made art work with acrylic, oil paint as well as chalk- and oil pastels
