Eddie Vedder - DLAP

Eddie Vedder
DaFredo Line Art Portrait

 ALIVE

If this is not ALIVE I don't know what is!
Eddie in the early nineties live on stage, probably performing the Pearl Jam signature song Alive, their breakthrough song and greatest hit ever. Shouting his lungs out with the mike in a firm grip.
ALIVE too because this artwork is created during live painting performances at De Hip by DaFredo in the summer of 2020.

First time a DLAP that is rather a pose than a portrait, seeking to catch the power and energy of this Pearl Jam performance.
Singing, running, climbing, jumping... It was in this period that I witnessed myself how  Eddie stage-dived off a camera crane during the Pinkpop festival. This was not just a simple act, this was a rock band here to stay. And so they did. But even almost 30 years later, when I think of Pearl Jam I prefer their early years.

Painted outdoors at the beautiful Brink square of Deventer during the DaFredo exposition at De Hip, August 2020.
On stage at the Pearl Jam Undercoversessie at De Hip at April 22, 2022.
